I decided to play with the colors: Ivory, Green, Blue, Tan, and Grey. Although I am not matchy today but, I am however blending all of these cool colors together. Sometimes you have to pick a color for each piece instead of picking a color and sharing it amongst pieces.
I'm wearing a distressed crop that was a men's medium tee. Of course I got my hands on it, cut it in half, and put few distressed holes in it. I paired my homemade tee with blue and green plaid pants. You guys know how I feel about plaid..... ugh, obsessed ! I cuffed my pants once because my boots were a little taller than I expected.
Now I know my legs are long but I think these TAVIA P. shoes just made them a little longer. I didn't even think that could be possible but I kinda love it. These furry tan zip up boots are so rocker chic. They even made taller today, which I absolutely love. If I could keep this height forever, that'll be great too lol ! As tall as these boots look they are really comfortable, they almost feel like you're walking on wedges which is a comfy bonus in my book. I also wanted to point out the fact that the golden zipper is on the front of the shoe. It makes it so much easier to take on and off... unlike the really cute shoes that have a hard zipper on the side, ugh I HATE that.
I wanted to throw on a hat because I was having a really good hair day. I know that sounds a little ironic, like why would I want to cover my hair if I'm having a good hair day. But to answer your question, I did a twist out on my hair last night and took it out this morning. The first day of my twist is the most calm for my hair... it's not wild and really big yet. So in this case I have to wear a hat while it can still fit my head before my hair swells really big lol... natural girls be like !
Anywho, I wore a ivory wide brim hat and I think it compliments my look so well because it's in the family of the colors that I am wearing but it's not a color I already have on. You get it now? Mixing and matching can be fun once you get the hang of it. It's not as hard as you think either. Start with one piece and build your look around that. I started with my shirt... what do you usually start with?
